The Mosaic Center powered by IU Health will be a multi purpose center located on the first floor of the Excelsior Building, opening in 2023. This building will be the center is part of IU Health’s “Health District”. The goal of the IU Health's "Health District" will be to create new spaces, activity centers, year-round programming and new amenities around the campus designed to address social determinants of health and quality of life for our neighbors and other downtown residents. The main purpose of the Mosaic Center will be to improve the health of Hoosiers, create economic opportunities for Indiana residents, and increase and diversify the talent pipelines for IU Health and the healthcare industry. The main target audience for the Mosaic Center will be youth, unemployed or under-employed individuals, or individuals facing additional challenges. The final submittal for this project includes a Design Development Package, consisting of a floor plan, reflected ceiling plan, and proposed furniture and material applications represented in rendered images.
